911 Cell Phone Program

  • CCSO is collecting mobile phones for its 911 Cell Phone program.
  • The Sheriff’s Office will take the donated phones, get the data and numbers from the previous owners cleared and have them programmed for 911 purposes only.
  • We will then give them to residents who can use them to dial 911.
  • These phones are for emergency use only and are free to the public.
  • They will receive a cell phone and a charger.
  • People need to be able to dial 911 in case of an emergency so this is a great asset for the county.
  • People are welcome to donate or pick up phones during regular business hours Monday through Friday at the Cleveland County  Courthouse, 200 S. Peters Ave. in Norman near the west entrance or at the Cleveland County Detention Center, 2550 W. Franklin Rd., Norman.
  • For more information about the program,  call 701-8888.
