On Monday, May 1st, Deputy Bryan Irwin was in the area of 192nd Ave SE and Lindsey Road, in Norman, when he found a dog laying on the side of the road. Deputy Irwin realized the dog was injured and unable to walk. He knew it was critical to find help as quickly as possible.
He called around and eventually received aid from
Noble Now Inc Friends of Noble Animal Shelter. Deputy Irwin stayed with the dog (Tricia), until assistance arrived from
Grassland Veterinary Hospital. They
transported her and determined she had been shot and was extremely dehydrated. Unfortunately, her front right leg had to amputated. However, after days of treatment and care, Tricia is now walking again!
She still needs time for recovery, but will eventually be up for adoption. We will keep you updated on that process. Thank you Deputy Irwin for stepping in and saving Tricia’s life.
